Hi Riccardo, thanks for sharing this new series shot on Lomography Color Negative 800 film. Where did you get the inspiration for these portraits?

Actually this shoot came about quite randomly. I was working on a shoot with another Lomography film and among the people there I met this girl (Sofia) with red hair in a bob and the light bulb went on. She was perfect for a cyberpunk style shoot with a filter I was trying out in those days called Motion produced by Spektrem Effects.

The idea probably came to me because I've always been a fan of the visual side of the cyberpunk genre. My taste has developed on films like Ridley Scott's Blade Runner, Otomo's Akira and books like William Gibson's Neuromancer and Sprawl Trilogy.

If you had to choose a soundtrack to go with these shots, what would it be?

Probably something from the films mentioned above. On Instagram I had shared one of these photos in my stories with the music from Blade Runner 2049 composed by Hans Zimmer playing in the background. But maybe something like the soundtrack to Ghost in The Shell or Mr Robot would also do.

In a previous interview you shared your love of the Lomography Color Negative 800 film. Has your opinion changed with this new test?

Actually I think it has strengthened given the results. I think Lomography's Color Negative 800 is one of the best, if not the best high speed photographic film on the market today. It holds dominants better than a Portra 800, which for this kind of photography is a must, and it is also cheaper.

Do you have any interesting projects or collaborations planned?

Elisa Bonafè and I will be uploading two new videos on her channel where we will be testing a couple of LomoChrome Purple films and the Daguerreotype Achromat 2.9/64 Art Lens and so I think we will meet each other again to talk about it in the Online Magazine as well.
