LomoChrome Turquoise: First Rolls by the USA Community

5

After countless requests, we brought back LomoChrome Turqouise through preorders last year. Now, our community finally has their hands on the film and are fulfilling their chrome-film fantasies. The experimental film's emulsion transforms everyday colors into shades of deep emerald, cobalt and cyan, while tints of blue fade into gorgeous golden gradients.

As people start to shoot and develop their first rolls of LomoChrome Turquoise, we've seen a lot of great shots from our Lomographers in the USA. Let's take a look at some of those first results with the film and hear a few of the their thoughts. . .

"Being a lover of the LomoChrome Purple film, I was eager to shoot my first roll of the LomoChrome Turquoise film! I found it to be extremely majestic! Everything has a fantasy feel to it, while also keeping the realistic integrity of what’s captured in the photo! Double exposures are especially dreamy! I cannot say enough about this film! I’m already almost done shooting my next roll!"

"LomoChrome Turquoise is a very interesting film. I knew that compared to LomoChrome Purple, I would get drastically different photos. For my first roll, I decided to shoot at 100 ISO. It is not often I have 100-speed film, and since Turquoise is rated 100-400, I thought I would give it a go. For my first location, I went to a fiberglass graveyard. I have seen many cityscapes from other Turquoise examples, so I thought I would try something different. Shooting the graveyard in Turquoise was the first time I felt I captured the weirdness of the place. Shifting greens to turquoise and flipping the sky to orange made for some very dream-like shots as the sun started to get low."

"I'm loving the new formula for Lomography Turquoise. I've been a fan of Lomo's creative films (Purple and Metropolis) as well as the Color Negative films (100, 400 and 800) for a while now. The unique look and perspective LomoChrome Purple gives you to see the world like being on another planet is so cool. Now with LomoChrome Turquoise you get another perspective with bright oranges, deep purples and glimmering turquoise. THIS is what I love about film photography, being able to shoot the same thing or place but get a different emotional experience from the image based on the film type."

@kaagrrr Thank you! I love the double exposure! I never really dabbled with those, but I might have to.
