Fujicolor C200 35 mm: A Film Made for Sunny Days!

This affordable film is one of my go-to picks in the summer season. I use it for both sport and street photography. Here you can see how this nice film can be used to photograph everything under the sun. This is a great general purpose film, in my opinion, and is good for action or nature photography! I love classic photography. I seldom use cross processing and oftentimes I use classic composition in my photos. I use this film when I need to take color photos on a sunny day! It has minimal grain, delicate colors, nice contrast, an affordable price, and great quality! Just take a look at these photos of flowers taken around a golf club in Italy:

This film almost has the same fine grain of the Fujicolor 100 film (which is now very hard to find in Italy) with lower overall contrast and slightly less saturated colors. It is ideal for nature photography in my opinion. I often use this film for portrait or street photography. I just love the neutral colors it renders.

The resolution is great, I can obtain 20×30cm prints without tracks of grain!

This film is great even when you shoot in backlit environments! No tracks of “underexposed noise” in the silhouette! And even in a difficult shadowy condition against a blue sky, the cold dominance of the blue color is easily corrected during scanning! These photos were scanned using a professional Fuji Frontier Mini Lab by my trusty photo lab in Como.

Using a shutter speed of 1/250s on a sunny day, you can choose a narrow aperture (from F8 to F16) which is ideal to get a good depth of field. This comes in handy when you do action or sports photography.

All of these photos were taken during a public demo of golf and rugby at the Virginia Golf Club in Appiano Gentile, North of Italy. It’s a good way to get to know these two wonderful sports.
