The World According to Herr Willie – Mount Rigi in the Swiss Alps
written by wil6ka on 2016-11-12 #placesVicuna is one of my best friends and wherever the wind takes him I will catch a paraglide to meet him. I did so, when he chased turtles in Polynesia and now, when he is digesting cheese in Switzerland. My prerogative was to hit a mountain on my birthday and so we did.

So tighten your sarong around your hips and stick with me on this spiritual passage through the gates of heaven.

Durdle Door
written by neja on 2011-09-14 #placesDurdle Door is one of the most photographed landmarks along the Jurassic Coast. This rock arch in the sea was formed as a result of the softer rocks being eroded away behind the hard limestones, allowing the sea to punch through them. The name Durdle is derived from an old English word 'thirl' meaning bore or drill.

Mt. Eden Park, Auckland
written by vicuna on 2010-12-19 #placesMt. Eden Park in Auckland is made from an impressive former volcano crater and offers a great view over the whole area. It's perfectly safe to visit as it's already a dormant volcano - you can either enjoy a nice walk uphill or take a car if you're being lazy but once you get to the top, you'll quickly realize that all the effort is well worth it.

Millefont Lake
written by vicuna on 2008-05-09 #placesThe Lake of Millefont is a beautiful place to take a walk, see nature, relax and take pictures. It's in the pre-alps, about 70 km from the coast of the Cote d'Azur and the city of Nice. You must leave Nice following the river Var, along the N202 road (west side of the city, near the airport). This road is the direct way to the mountains and you can quickly be in mountainous landscape and still see the Mediterranean Sea :).
