Lomography is proud to announce that it will again accompany the Nixon Surf Team to be part of this year’s Nixon Surf Challenge. In line with this, we’ve prepared a rumble for all traveling and adventure-seeking lomographers.

Lomography is proud to announce its partnership with the Nixon surf team for their Surf Challenge on the Hainan Island in the South China Sea. Dubbed the ‘Hawaii of the East’ for its comparable climate and latitude, the island is a relatively unknown albeit not entirely undiscovered surf destination. The jewel in China’s unheralded surf scene is arguably Hainan’s Riyue Bay, an exposed point break that has played host to a handful of low-key surf contests in recent years thanks to its consistent and uncrowded waves.

Last year, Lomography cameras traveled with the whole Nixon team to capture their extreme adventures. It’s another year for adventurous analog snaps. Stay tuned for plenty of incredible shots and and passionate LomoAmigos to surface on the magazine.

As the challenge is always organized in far-out places such as the Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula last year, we are giving you a month to share with us your best analog photos of “crazy places” you know or you’ve been to. Whether you were in a crazy roller coaster and you shot some crazy pictures from the top of it with you LC-A, on a deserted island with sharks dancing all around, or on the top of a mountain surrounded with llamas riding their skateboards; feed our imagination and our senses with dreamy, surreal or even unbelievable images of the places you’ve been to.

o Minimum Photo Dimensions: Submissions must be at least 768px in either width or height.
o Meta data must be complete (camera, film, location & 3 tags)

What if you’re not part of the Lomography community and would like to take part in the competition?

Register at Lomography and upload your 10 best analog shots from 2015 in your LomoHome. Please keep in mind that you have to tag the camera and film you used and add three more additional descriptive words. Then, come back to this competition post. After photos have been uploaded, it should appear below where you can tick off the ones you want to submit.
