Join Us For a Day of Fun This Film Photography Day 2015 at NYC!

Lomography NYC is celebrating Film Photography Day for the third consecutive year. We are inviting all Lomographers and analogue enthusiasts to mark your calendars and come join us on Saturday, April 11. To commemorate this day, we have organized an exciting line-up of events including live music and drinks!

Events line-up

• 11 a.m.: Analog Brunch
• 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.: 5-Borough Scavenger Hunt

We will kickstart the day with a wholesome brunch. After fueling up, we will head out for a major scavenger hunt across the five boroughs. Everyone is welcome to participate in this hunt, and everyone will be given a list of clues for landmarks across NYC. Using a Lomography camera and a roll of film, you are given a few hours to snap pictures of all the clues you have scavenged. Three lucky winners will be chosen by Lomography and will be announced the next day.

• 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Analog Flea Market

We will be holding the Analog Flea Market. It is a great chance for you to come by and check out our Early Bird Special sale. Also, you can bring in your vintage finds, and we may swap them for a camera or films!

• 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.: Lomo’Instant Workshop
• 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.: LomoWall Building Workshop

Meanwhile, the Lomo’Instant and LomoWall Building workshops will take place. The Lomo’Instant Workshop will be conducted at 2 p.m., and for $13, you can have the opportunity to give Lomography’s latest camera a try, and of course keep your photographs. Later in the afternoon, the popular LomoWall Building Workshop will take place. It will be limited to 10 participants only due to space constraints. In addition, participants can send their photos to the LomoLab in advance for printing. At $25, participants of the LomoWall Building Workshop can now leave their photographic footprints on our wall!

• 7 p.m.: Analog Expert Panel

When the hunt and workshops are over, the analog expert panel will take over. We have invited professional photographer and LomoAmigo Coco Alexander to speak about her experiences with Lomography cameras and the Petzval Art Lens, and how she has integrated them into her professional work. On top of that, we will have Geoffrey Berliner, Director of the Penumbra Foundation speak to us about the recent collaboration with Lomography.

• 9 p.m.: Vinyl DJ Set
• 10 p.m.: LomoAmigo Acoustic Set + Raffle Draw

The party continues when DJ Felipe spins his vinyl at 9 p.m., followed by several acoustic sessions by well-accomplished musician and LomoAmigo, Wolf Colony. There will be three lucky winners in the raffle draw.

A huge shout out to our friends at LaserSoft Imaging who will be providing a lucky winner with Silverfast HDR Studio, the perfect companion for image optimization and ease of workflow.
