We don't care about the subtle grey tones and smooth transitions. It's all about 1 and 0, on and off, black and white!
In black and white photography, a high contrast photograph has relatively fewer grey areas and strong black and white tones. For this competition, we're looking for the most creative use of this technique. To keep you started, try to embrace the noontime glow and envelop your subject in halo of bright light. Or shoot in a dark room with only a little window as your source of bright light. Or try to chase the last rays of the sun for that classic silhouette shot. Blow up the contrast on your black and white photo for a chance to win voucher and piggies for the Lomography online shop. This competition is open to all. Each user can submit up to 10 images.
This competition serves as the qualifying round for Monochrome Award.
